Certification

The TÜV
Rheinland Group and ITACS announced that the companies have
signed a
a
definite agreement under which the TÜV Rheinland Group will
acquire ITACS, a leader in
electrical safety testing for certification purposes of
electrical and telecommunications,
accessories and appliances for households, commercial and
industrial use.
ITACS, headquartered in Adelaide, Australia, is a strategic
addition to TÜV Rheinland’s certifica-
tions

TUV Rheinland Philippines bares new exec, office
address
TÜV Rheinland Philippines, Inc., the local unit of the
international conformity assessment body TÜV Rheinland Group,
recently announced the appointment of Mr. Tristan Arwen G.
Loveres as the company’s new Chief Operating Officer (COO).
TÜV Rheinland Philippines’ core services are in the field of
Quality, Environment, Automotive, Health and Safety, Information
Security and Medical Device Management Systems, Product Safety
Testing and Education.
Additionally, it was announced that in line with the company’s
global commitment to ensure that the highest level of services
and operations is provided to its customers, TÜV Rheinland
Group’s top management decided to consolidate the local unit’s
corporate office located in Alabang, Muntinlupa City and the TÜV
Rheinland - Philippine Laboratory for Electrical Safety and move
it to a bigger and better office and laboratory facility.
Effective 1 March 2009, the new office will be located at the
Ground Floor of La Fuerza Building 1, 2241 Don Chino Roces

Kuwait
- TUV Rheinland Group is accredited as a Certification and
Inspection Body by Public Authority for Industry to assure
effective product imports into Kuwait

TUV Rheinland Group has been accredited as a
Certification and Inspection Body to carry out the necessary
Conformity Assessment Procedures needed for imports into Kuwait
on behalf of the Kuwaiti authorities.
The Kuwait market access service is the latest
addition to the TUV Rheinland Group’s existing global market
services. This accreditation perfectly complements its existing
portfolio of countries for which conformity assessment services
are already offered. It also strengthens the Group’s position as
a leading Product Certification and Inspection body in the

Rheinland Japan will be offering Photovoltaic Thin Film Testing
Services at its new Photovoltaic Thin Film Competence Center in
Yokohama, Japan

The TUV Rheinland Asian Group with Head
Quarters located in Japan is proud to announce new testing
services for the IEC 61646 Thin Film terrestrial photovoltaic
(PV) modules, plus design qualification and type approval. This
new service complements both the PV outdoor testing facilities
and the Crystalline PV Module competence center already
operating.
The Thin Film technology is the latest technological advancement
to create environmentally friendly energy and is one of the most

Government Accredits TUV
Rheinland - Manila Standard ( April 24,2007 ) -
The Department of Trade and
Industry's Bureau of Products Standards has accredited TUV
Rheinland Philippines Inc. to conduct tests on the safety
standards of product such as household and similar electrical
appliances and information technology equipment. Manufacturers
and importers of the products under the mandatory product
certification schemes of the bureau can now have their products
tested at the TUV laboratory in Makati City on the following
standards: IEC 60335 (household and similar electrical
appliances- safety); IEC 60598 (luminaries -general requirements
and tests); IEC 60950 (Information technology equipment-
